Book Giveaway: Belly Button Bliss

On Sunday mornings, I teach prenatal yoga. I love starting the week with beautiful pregnant women and their glorious bellies! So, in honor of the mamas preparing for birth this morning, I’m giving away a copy of my book Belly Button Bliss: A Small Collection of Happy Birth Stories.

If I may brag a little, this cute baby shower gift is the perfect antidote to the scary stories birth mothers too often hear about labor and childbirth. Filled with inspirational birth stories, the anthology celebrates the intuitive wisdom of women’s bodies and the transformative effect of childbirth. Each story shows that when a mama-to-be has ample support, lots of encouragement, and a positive frame of mind, her birth story is more likely to be a happy one.

Home births, hospital births, normal births, medical births, Cesarean-section birth, vaginal birth after Cesarean (VBAC), twins, even an adoption story — the book is a celebration of happy birthing!

Today’s giveaway is a copy of Belly Button Bliss: A Small Collection of Happy Birth Stories. To enter, follow these guidelines:

1) Leave a comment below, telling me your favorite thing about birth — your best memory of birth, or the thing you’re most looking forward to about birth. (This one is required to enter the contest.)

2) To enter a second time, like Mamahhh on Facebook and follow me on Twitter, then leave a comment letting me know that you did (or already do!).

3) To enter a third and final time, post on Facebook or tweet about the giveaway, and tell me here—in another comment—that you helped spread the word.

  7. My favorite thing about birth was the amazing team that my husband and I became. I didn’t know it would happen, but he was exactly what I needed when I was slightly scared or in pain. His kung-fu breath kept me focused and relaxed, and the warmth and squeeze of his hand helped me gain strength. The experience was the most comforting and beautiful thing we’ve ever done together.
