A long time ago, in a life I’ve nearly forgotten—the one before kids—I had a one-dimensional view of self-care. It involved calling in sick to work for a “mental health day.” Or, “spa day.” It was all the same to me, really. One other time, someone told me I should schedule some “white space” into my planner. Mamahhh’s Self-Care Month – Shift Your Perspective


I love those days when “self-care” means “get a massage.” And more and more, I’m appreciating those days—like today—when “self-care” means “shift your perspective.” That’s how I’m easing into this month of creating nurturing and protections for myself as I do the work of moving my family from Georgia to Tennessee over the next two months.
