If I thought I had any handle whatsoever on the practice of nonattachment, today said otherwise. I’ve been using an online backup service for the past few years, and it’s worked out really well for me. Today, though, I had quite the scare. I went to restore a bunch of files that were wiped out when my laptop’s operating system was updated. I love those days when “self-care” means “get a massage.” And more and more, I’m appreciating those days—like today—when “self-care” means “shift your perspective.” That’s how I’m easing into this month of creating nurturing and protections for myself as I do the work of moving my family from Georgia to Tennessee over the next two months.
